Table 69 Making Changes!

We have a few announcements that we are really excited about. Firstly, we would like to welcome back Paul Cafarelli on bass guitar. Paul was an integral part of Table 69 for the first half of the last decade and we certainly missed his talent and charisma after we parted ways in 2006. Paul played a big role in the recording of Table 69’s album “Reserved” and was a great asset on stage at our live shows. His return not only brings back the piece of the rhythm section we have so dearly missed, it also allows us to move Albert Carraro from bass to lead guitar.

Albert joined Table 69 in 2006 as our new bass player and he has done an incredibly stand up job up to this point. However, Albert is actually a fantastic guitar player! If you know Al, then you already know this. Having gotten to know Albert and his talent very well over the last few years, it has been a goal of ours to get him up front on guitar to do what he does best – what he was born to do. We call Albert “the new Greg”, referring to our former guitar player from Paul’s era Greg Vyrostko. Greg left the group to pursue a career with The Blue Man Group and he has not looked back – awesome for Greg. As an old college friend of Greg’s, I am thrilled to see him succeed in music. Of course, finding someone to fill Greg’s shoes was a huge task, and now we have finally done it with Albert Carraro. For those of you who have not seen Albert play guitar yet, you are definitely in for a treat. Table 69 will give him ample opportunity to strut his stuff on stage and I know it will be great.

During this transition we have been able to add quite a bit of new and different material to our repertoire. With the addition of Paul and move for Albert, Mars and Vito (that’s me) will focus primarily on vocals and performance while Albert handles the intricacies of lead guitar.

There’s more! Drummer Lui Della Mea’s connection with Paul in the rhythm section will be stronger than ever and this is very exciting for all us. It gets even better – with new stage toys that include effects and electronic drum pads and triggers, Table 69 will be taking our show to a new level. Lui has been spending a lot of time building the foundation for our new show and we can’t wait to get out there and play it for you.

Please look out for our upcoming “Table 69 Revival Showcase” event that will be announced soon on Facebook and our website – which is also being revamped! The event will not only showcase our new line up, effects, and repertoire, but will also contain elements of the old Table 69 that our fans came to love.

Thanks to all the readers and fans!  Vito Alvaro  Table 69 (since 1998)
